Alter Bridge Back In Action
After taking a detour in 2009, Alter Bridge is back together and recording a new album. The band says in a posting that both Scott Phillips' drum tracks and Brian Marshall's bass work is complete for their next album, and Mark Tremonti and Myles Kennedy began to lay down the guitar parts this week. In their posting, they state, quote, "The four of us are creating these songs exactly the way we want with absolute freedom. And only the best of the best of the 17 songs we record will make the album." Meanwhile, Alter Bridge has confirmed that Kennedy will front Slash's band when the guitar great tours this summer. Not only will they be playing songs from Slash's solo album and his GNR past, but they will also work in some of Kennedy's solo tracks as well as some Alter Bridge numbers. The touring should fit perfectly with the lead time heading into Alter Bridge's album.
