Cypress Hill Rises Up To The Challenge
Cypress Hill returns April 20th with the new album "Rise Up," and for the first time in years the group didn't have the pressures of a label or deadlines hanging over their head. After taking time off in recent years for outside projects and fulfilling their longtime label contract, the group reunited to make a record on their own timetable. Sen Dog says it was nice to get old friends back together.
Tom Morello can be heard playing guitar on the current single "Rise Up." Other guests on the disc include Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda, System Of A Down's Daron Malakian, Everlast, Marc Anthony, Pitbull, Cheech & Chong and more. Sen Dog says, quote, "It was a great feeling to know that here we are doing another album. It took a little bit longer, the process, than we thought it would, but once we got in there it was a great feeling to be working on material again with the crew and find ourselves being highly creative." "Rise Up" hits stores on April 20th. |
