In 1972 -- Black Sabbath's "Iron Man" peaked at number 52 on the pop singles chart. In 1977 -- A Generation X concert at Leicester University in England ended with violence as a glass was smashed over the head of bassist Bob Andrews. The Slits made their concert debut, opening a show for The Clash in London. In 1978 -- Kate Bush's "Wuthering Heights" hit number one on the UK pop singles chart. The Talking Heads' "Psycho Killer" peaked at number 92 on the pop singles chart. In 1989 -- Guns N' Roses' "Paradise City" peaked at number five on the pop singles chart. The Replacements' "I'll Be You" hit number one on the modern rock chart. In 1996 -- Stone Temple Pilots released the album "Tiny Music Songs from the Vatican Gift Shop." In 1997 -- New album releases included the Mighty Mighty Bosstones' "Let's Face It" and Blur's self-titled effort. In 2002 -- Ratt guitarist Warren DeMartini and drummer Bobby Blotzer were in court in Los Angeles suing frontman Stephen Pearcy over the profits the singer earned on his unauthorized "Ratt featuring Stephen Pearcy" tour.
