Oasis Frontman Explains Brit Awards Behavior
Oasis vocalist Liam Gallagher says his acceptance speech at the recent Brit Awards was not meant as a snub of his brother and former bandmate Noel. Oasis got the nod for Best Album Of 30 Years with "(What's The Story) Morning Glory?," and in receiving the trophy Gallagher thanked everyone who worked on the album with the exception of Noel. Liam tells the "Stop Crying Your Heart Out" blog it was because, quote, "I'm sick of it all being about me and Noel. The last couple of months has been pretty much all about me and him so I thought it was only right to mention the other lads who played on the album and the best fans in the world." Gallagher also made headlines for tossing the award into the crowd, and notes that move was misunderstood as well. He explained, quote, "I thought it was a nice gesture to give this to the fans. Obviously it was misinterpreted as per usual." The Brit Awards 2010 were presented in London last month.
