Neon Trees Aren't Technologically Enhanced
While there are many acts that benefit from technology, Neon Trees is not one of them. Bassist Branden Campbell says he believes studio technology can mask flaws that make music genuine, and his group seeks to deliver an authentic sound.
Campbell adds, quote, "Technology has allowed people to fake their way through records and at first they could get away with it more often because the public wasn't aware." But he believes people are becoming more savvy to the studio tricks. The rocker also feels there are listeners who would rather hear something more organic that provides, quote, "a snapshot of the moment." Fans can now check out Neon Trees' first "snapshot." The group's debut CD, "Habits," arrived in stores this week. |
