Santana, Thomas To Reunite On "Sunshine"
Carlos Santana and Matchbox 20 frontman Rob Thomas are reuniting on a single for Santana's next LP. Backstage at the 25th Annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Awards this week, Thomas talked about why the duo waited so long after 1999's "Smooth" to collaborate again.
Thomas and Santana will cover Cream's "Sunshine of Your Love" on the covers project. "Smooth" appeared on Santana's concept album "Supernatural" and hit number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. The song also took home some Grammy hardware with wins in the Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals categories. |
