Chris Daughtry Weighs In On Kings Of Leon Pigeon Problem
"American Idol" alum Chris Daughtry is weighing in on Kings of Leon's pigeon problem from Friday night. Kings Of Leon walked off the stage at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater after playing only three songs after a pigeon defecated in bassist Jared Followill's mouth. The band has promised fans full refunds through Live Nation and apologized on Twitter. Fellow musician Chris Daughtry used his Twitter feed Saturday to weigh in on the incident by saying he wouldn't have walked off stage if a pigeon had defecated on his head. The singer says, quote, "I would certainly not cancel the rest of the show. I would finish the song, clean off the feces...(easy w no hair) and carry on with scheduled program." He also adds that he's heard it is good luck if a bird goes to the bathroom on a person.
But Daughtry admits that taking a shot to the mouth from a pigeon while performing is a "different story." He adds, quote, "I can't say what someone else did was wrong or right. There could be more to the story...I'd have to take a mini break to gain my composure...then back to rockin'...I have to say I'm a big KOL fan." |
