Eric Church Finds Home For Stray Cats
Eric Church is showing his soft spot for animals. The singer recently found a home for a couple of cats that found him while he was out jogging. Church took the felines in and made an appeal for an owner via his website. Naming the cats "Jesse Colter" and "June Carter," he penned a compelling narrative about the stray animals. Written from "Jesse's" perspective, the story tells the tale of the cats' frightening time on the streets, their dedication to each other, and the compassion Church showed them. "Jesse" also notes, quote, "Even though he said in one of his songs that he 'believes dogs are better than cats,' don't believe him, we know we won him over. He promised to help find us the perfect loving home since he couldn't take us himself, he is allergic to us!"
The country star has delivered on his promise. Church adds in an update, quote, "A wonderful woman in NC has adopted Jesse and June. Thanks to all of you for your responses." |
