In 1973 The New York Dolls released their self-titled debut album. In 1978 Patti Smith made the cover of "Rolling Stone" magazine. In 1983 Metallica began their first tour, called "Kill 'Em All For One." In 1985 Eurythmics' "There Must Be An Angel" hit number one on the UK pop singles chart. In 1988 Metallica's album "Master Of Puppets" was certified Platinum. In 1991 Warrant's Jani Lane married Bobbie Brown. In 1993 The Smashing Pumpkins' "Siamese Dream" album was released. In 1997 Primal Scream roadies Jason Caufield and James Hunt were arrested for drug possession during a festival in Tullinge, Sweden. In 2001 Bon Jovi's date at New Jersey's Giants Stadium was taped by VH1 for the concert special "Bon Jovi: One Last Wild Night." MTV Brazil reported that guitarist Buckethead had left Guns N' Roses. In 2002 Lenny Kravitz had to cancel a concert in Noblesville, Indiana, for what had been described as a, quote, "aggravated vocal condition." Two other shows were also postponed. In 2004 U2's Bono was in Boston, where he performed at a tribute concert honoring Massachusetts Senator Ted Kennedy and spoke to a student group about social activism. Courtney Love was sentenced to 18 months probation and ordered to enter a drug rehab program following her guilty plea to being under the influence of drugs. She offered the plea in May as part of a deal with prosecutors. The case stemmed from an arrest in October 2003. In 2005 Alanis Morissett, Incubus' Brandon Boyd, Jason Mraz, and Liz Phair were among the artists announced to participate in a new slate of ads for The Gap. In 2007 The Offspring announced that former Saves the Day drummer Pete Parada was replacing Atom Willard in the band. Helmet's Page Hamilton took part in a panel discussion with legendary comic book creators Paul Jenkins and Rob Prior at the ComiCon convention in San Diego. In 2009 Former Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash and drummer Steve Adler both received a restraining order against the same woman. The woman had been pursuing Adler, claiming that they were long lost lovers who met in rehab in the early '90s, and had made multiple appeals to Slash and members of his family hoping they would connect her with Adler.<
