Owl City's Adam Young Releasing Sky Sailing Album Today
Adam Young of Owl City fame is releasing an album of songs he did before his song "Fireflies" ever hit the charts. The album, "An Airplane Carried Me To Bed," is being released under the moniker of Sky Sailing. He says on the Sky Sailing MySpace blog that the songs on the record were created in his parents' basement while he kept a job as a metalworker. Young says, quote, "I've kept these recordings secret for a long time and they've never seen the light of day until now. Long before Owl City was ever a spark of a flame, a lot of blue-collared working days were spent absentmindedly daydreaming about what would ultimately become this collection of songs." The eleven-song collection from Young's Sky Sailing arrives in stores today. |
