James Otto Sets Release Date, Track List For New CD
The much-anticipated album from James Otto now has a set release date. "Shake What God Gave Ya," which includes 12 tracks -- eleven written by Otto -- will be in stores September 14th. In describing the album, the singer-songwriter notes, quote, "Musically I'd say I'm the love child between Ronnie Milsap and Barry White. This sexy, sultry, soulful sound makes you wanna move and dance." To add to James' "country-meets-soul sound" he picked Milsap to duet with him on the last track, "Good Things Gone Bad." "Shake What God Gave Ya" is the follow-up to "Sunset Man," which contained the number one hit "Just Got Started Lovin' You" -- which was also 2008's most played single at country radio. The lead single from Otto's upcoming album, "Groovy Little Summer Song," is already a Top 25 country song.
In the meantime, Otto is on the road. His upcoming dates include Guthrie Center, Iowa on July 31st, San Bernardino, California on August 3rd, and Folsom, California on August 5th. He'll begin a new run of dates with Toby Keith and Trace Adkins on the "American Ride" tour starting in Mountain View, California on August 6th.
