The Cars To Fans: Anyone Ready For A Reunion?
The Cars are hinting that they may be headed toward a reunion. ContactMusic.com reports that the new wave rockers recently posted a buzz-worthy photo on their Facebook Fan page. The photo depicts the band's surviving members working together in a Boston, Massachusetts studio. Under the picture, a captions reads, quote, "Anyone in the mood for a reunion by the Cars?" Since its 1980s heyday, The Cars have lost bass player Benjamin Orr to cancer. The remaining originals were depicted in the studio photo together. If the band is recording a new LP for fans, it will be its first since 1987's "Door to Door." The Cars were first signed to Elektra Records in 1977. Among their biggest hits were 1981's "Shake It Up," and "Drive," "You Might Think" and "Hello Again," all of which were off the band's popular 1984 album, "Heartbeat City."
