Rapper M.I.A. Promises Free Show To Hard NYC Attendees
Rapper M.I.A. is promising to make it up to her fans after her Saturday performance at New York City's Hard NYC Festival was rained out. The electronic music artist made her promise on her Twitter feed Monday. M.I.A. wrote, quote, "im gonna do a free show in nyc when i get back, tho i don't have powers over rain! if u still have the hard ticket u free! xxxo if you do me a lil dance , ill let u in too!" According to the "New York Times," M.I.A.'s set at Hard NYC was plagued by sound problems in addition to the thunderstorm that had fans streaming away from the stage at Governors Island. M.I.A. finished her set by performing her latest single "Born Free" in the rain as her roadies began packing up her equipment. |
