Kings Of Leon Adds To Their Sound
Kings Of Leon is wrapping up recording sessions for their new album, and the band is enjoying the process of expanding their sound. Singer Caleb Followill tells "QMI Agency," quote, "We have actually done some things on this album that we've wanted to do for a long time, and I truly feel like with each album, we are getting closer to what it is that we want to do as a band." Followill says the addition of fiddle, lap steel, and trumpet on the album has expanded their sound. He adds, quote, "We are really trying to make these songs live up to what it is that we want them to be, so there are a lot of elements that you may have never heard on [a] Kings Of Leon [album]. But there are also a lot of elements that were on the early Kings Of Leon demos."
Followill says both he and the other members of the band are truly "going for it" on the upcoming disc. The vocalist also revealed that the previously mentioned remix album has been put on hold for the time being. He adds, quote, "We don't want to saturate the market too much and have too many things out to where people are just like, 'To hell with Kings Of Leon, they are everywhere.'" Look for new Kings Of Leon music this fall. |
