Selena Gomez Placed On Vocal Rest, Reschedules Ohio Show
"Ramona and Beezus" star Selena Gomez has been placed on vocal rest and has to cancel a few concert dates. But Ohio fans are in luck because she's rescheduling an Ohio State Fair appearance that was supposed to have taken place on Thursday. The Disney actress and singer is actually rescheduling the date for November 6th, when she and her band, "The Scene," will perform at the Celeste Center at the Ohio Expo Center for a make-up show. A statement released by the Ohio State Fair says Gomez is being forced to cancel three of her shows in addition to this rescheduled concert due to "strained vocal chords." Her doctor has ordered her to stay on vocal rest for the next week and is also forbidding her from airplane travel. Ohio State Fair ticket holders who planned to see Selena Gomez & The Scene Thursday are being urged to hang onto those tickets because they will be honored at the November 6th show. The dates that Selena Gomez & The Scene have canceled include concerts that were planned in Delaware, New Jersey, and Connecticut. In a Facebook posting, the singer says she will make it up to fans by rescheduling shows and doing a two-hour meet-and-greet at a later date in the cities she's been forced to miss. The new Selena Gomez album, "A Year Without Rain," will be released on September 21st. Selena Gomez & The Scene Canceled Dates: Wednesday, July 28th -- Harrington, Delaware -- Delaware State Fair Saturday, July 31st -- Holmdel, New Jersey -- PNC Bank Arts Sunday, August 1st -- Hartford, CT -- The Comcast Theatre
