John Bonham Tribute Planned In Hollywood
Hollywood's Key Club will serve as the setting for an all-star tribute to the late John Bonham next month. Blabbermouth.net reports that a VIP lineup -- which includes Quiet Riot's Frank Banali and John's son, Jason Bonham -- will remember the Led Zeppelin drummer at the club this September 25th. The date marks the 30th anniversary of Bonham's death. Also scheduled to appear are Chad Smith of Red Hot Chili Peppers and Chickenfoot fame and Simon Wright, who's been behind the kit for AC/DC and DIO. In a nod to Bonham's nickname, The Key Club is dubbing the evening "Bonzo: The Groove Remains The Same." Tickets for the one-night-only show start at 28-dollars and can be purchased now at www.keyclub.com.
John Bonham died on September 25th, 1980 at age 32. He was recruited to join Led Zeppelin in 1968. |
