Fantasia Plays Vegas, Says She'll "Never Stop"
Fantasia says she will "never ever stop." The singer addressed the crowd during a surprise performance at the Rain nightclub inside the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas Friday night. The season three "American Idol" winner said, quote, "They thought I was finished, they thought I was done. I would never, ever stop...Don't ever let your haters stop you. Don't ever let them stop your destiny." Fantasia made an attempt at suicide earlier this month by taking a bottle of Aspirin and sleep aid. Her agent said at the time that she was distraught after her boyfriend's wife blamed the vocalist for their split.
Fantasia's audience in Las Vegas included actresses Demi Moore and Soleil Moon Frye. The singer was also spotted dining with hotel co-owner Gavin Maloof earlier in the evening. Fantasia sang four songs for the crowd at Rain including her new single, "Bittersweet." She also sang Prince's "Purple Rain" and "Tell Me Something Good" by Rufus and Chaka Khan. Fantasia's new album, "Back To Me," is in stores now. |
