Linkin Park Maintain Concept Of Non-Concept Album
Linkin Park's Chester Bennington says the band's new CD "A Thousand Suns" isn't a concept album in the traditional sense. While the singer stated earlier that the project might take on that form, he notes group members didn't want to limit themselves by plotting things out in advance and giving the album set parameters.
Bennington says there are some unifying themes on "A Thousand Suns." He adds that the band tried to maintain continuity with all aspects of the project, with common threads running through the music, the album packaging, and the videos as well as in their live shows. Linkin Park's "A Thousand Suns" will be released on September 14th. The band will host a listening party for the album in Los Angeles a week before the CD hits stores, on September 7th. The group also has a concert slated for the Best Buy Theater in New York City on the day "A Thousand Suns" arrives. |
