The Band Perry Earns First CMA Nomination
The Band Perry's Kimberly, Neil, and Reid Perry are experiencing a career first. When the initial round of CMA nominations were announced on Tuesday, the trio found themselves with their first CMA nod and their first nomination for a national music award. Reacting to the nomination, Kimberly says, quote, "We are so humbled and just downright excited to be nominated for CMA Vocal Group of the Year. The three of us are huge country music fans and are honored to be in this category with some of our favorite artists." Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town, Rascal Flatts, and Zac Brown Band are vying in the category with The Band Perry. The 44th annual CMA Awards will be presented in a ceremony in Nashville and air on ABC on November 10th.
The Band Perry's second single, "If I Die Young," is in the Top 20 on the Billboard/Mediabase charts and climbing. "If I Die Young" is available on the trio's self-titled EP as well as on their first full-length album, scheduled for release on October 12th. The Band Perry is slated to join Alan Jackson on tour this fall. |
