Lady Gaga To Play Plastic Ono Band Concert
Singer Lady Gaga is slated to perform at an upcoming show with Yoko Ono's Plastic Ono Band. According to Ono's website, ImaginePeace.com, Gaga will be playing the October 2nd show at the Orpheum in Los Angeles, California. Also playing that night are Sonic Youth's Kim Gordon and Thurston Moore. An October 1st show will feature headliners Iggy Pop, Mike Watt, and Nels Cline of Wilco. Other artists joining the "We Are Plastic Ono Band" shows include Perry Farrell, actress Carrie Fisher, actor Vincent Gallo, and rapper RZA of Wu-Tang Clan fame.
The show won't be Lady Gaga's first connection to the late John Lennon. She sang his song, "Imagine," at last October's Human Rights Campaign event in Washington, D.C. Lady Gaga said earlier this year that she would love to be an honorary member of Yoko Ono's Plastic Ono Band if given the chance. |
