50 Cent Says He'll Quit Twitter To Record Album, Tweets About T.I. Anyway
Rapper 50 Cent is pouring his time and creativity into his new album this weekend instead of his Twitter account. He announced on Wednesday that he's going offline. "Fif" wrote, quote, "Ok ladies and gentalmen I'm writing my new album. I will not be on twitter again til sept 6This album will be a classic." But the rapper didn't quite make good on that promise. On Thursday morning 50 Cent was back on Twitter to give his thoughts on the arrest of rapper T.I. and his wife, Tameka "Tiny" Cottle. He writes about how the couple was arrested on drug charges and then says, quote, "Tiny gotta take that charge. Say it was yoursBaby." After posting that on Twitter, the rapper wrote another goodbye message telling fans they'd just have to suffer of boredom until he returns to the social networking site.
TMZ.com reports T.I. and Cottle were arrested in Los Angeles Wednesday night after being stopped for a traffic violation. L.A. County Sheriff's deputies reportedly smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle and conducted a search. Officers then allegedly discovered a "small amount" of the drug ecstasy. T.I. and "Tiny" were then booked on felony possession of a controlled substance. The couple was released on ten-thousand-dollars bail. T.I. stars in the movie "Takers," which is currently the number-one film in the country.
