Osbourne Part Of Birmingham Hospital Campaign
Ozzy Osbourne is part of a newspaper campaign to name a hospital in his hometown of Birmingham, England. "The Birmingham Mail" reports that Ozzy is the celebrity representative for one of four possible names under consideration for the multimillion dollar facility. Osbourne is endorsing "The Midlands Metropolitan Hospital" in a promotion for "The Mail." The paper is allowing readers to cast a vote regarding the naming of the hospital. Other Birmingham notables are also involved in the campaign. TV personality Adrian Chiles is supporting "Birmingham and Black Country Hospital," celebrity chef Rustie Lee is behind "Grove Lane Hospital," and singer Ruby Turner is throwing her fame behind the "James Brindley Hospital," inspired by the late English engineer famous for his canal designs.
Readers of "The Mail" have a month to provide their input. The votes will be factored into a decision about the hospital that will be made by the Sandwell and West Birmingham Trust Board in late October. |
