Lewis To Promote "Mean Old Man" On "Fallon" This Thursday
Jerry Lee Lewis is getting ready to rock in late night this week. The 74-year-old will be the musical guest on NBC's "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" this Thursday. Lewis is on the promotional trail for his comeback album, "Mean Old Man," which is hitting the market today. "Mean Old Man" is a follow up to Lewis' 2006 duets disc, "Last Man Standing." Fans got a taste of the material last year with the release of the CD's title track -- penned by actor-singer-songwriter Kris Kristofferson. More familiar names make guest turns on the project. These include John Fogerty; the Rolling Stones' Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, and Ron Wood; guitarist Slash; and former Beatle Ringo Starr. Lewis' "Mean Old Man" is in stores now. The album is available as an 18-track deluxe edition and a ten-track standard CD. Those who buy the standard release from iTunes also will receive the bonus cut "Here Comes That Rainbow," which features vocalist Shelby Lynne. Catch Lewis on "Fallon" on NBC this Thursday, September 9th at 12:35 a.m.. [[Note nature of the following story]]
