Sinead Took Short-Term Husband To "Dangerous Place"
Sinead O'Connor is offering more insight on what led to the end of her marriage to fourth husband Barry Herridge after just 16 days. The Irish singer tells the UK newspaper the "Sun" that she felt like she was "living in a coffin" and saw that Barry was "crushed." O'Connor says, "The whole reason I ended it was out of respect and love for the man." She also cops to taking Herridge on a nightmarish cab drive in search of drugs just hours after their Las Vegas wedding. O'Connor says they ended up in a place "that was quite dangerous" and while she wasn't scared, she thinks her drug counselor husband of just a few hours was "very frightened." She says, "that kind of messed everything up a bit, really."
O'Connor and Herridge reportedly met online just four months ago. They wed on O'Connor's 45th birthday on December 8th in a drive-through wedding in Vegas. The singer announced their split on Monday and thinks she may resolve to remain single. Sinead, who has opened up about her struggles with bipolar disorder in the past, tells the "Sun," quote, "I don't think I will even date anyone." |
