Bret Michaels Excited About His New Year's Eve Event
Bret Michaels says his upcoming New Year's Eve show will "absolutely be the best way to close out 2011, which was an amazing year, and to kick off 2012, which will be even more incredible." He tells Springfield, Illinois' "State Journal-Register" he typically thinks of all of his concerts "as parties," but believes this one "especially will be a party." Michaels adds that he's glad he's hosting his event in the Illinois capital. The Poison frontman explains that the community has "some of the best fans" and he's "always had a great time" whenever he's performed there, so he felt it was "the perfect place to end both the tour and the year on a high note." Bret promises to play the hits along with his most recent material. Michael's "Get Your Rock On - New Year's Eve Extravaganza" will take place at the Prairie Capital Convention Center in Springfield Saturday night
In addition to the Michaels' performance, the event will feature a rock and roll karaoke area, and a dance contest. Michaels intends to document the entire event and use footage from the party for the video to his latest single, "Get Your Rock On," which is the title track to his next album. |
